Bible Lessons on "The Eldership"
Introduction. Religious groups that fall under the broad category of "Christianity" have a wide variety of organizational structures at the local level, especially related to the leadership of the congregation. These include having a one person in charge (e.g., "priest", "pastor", "bishop", "Reverend", "preacher"), a board of deacons (Baptist), a mixed committee of men & women, and so on. But has God provided thru His Word any guidance or pattern for local congregations to follow?
