What would a biography of Jesus be?

Introduction. It appears our good question is prompted by the familiar television program called Biography. This program, as you know, presents facts of certain individuals' lives ("biography" literally means a writing of life, Gk. grapha, writing and bios, life).

Jesus was obedient to his Father. At twelve years of age Jesus said, "...I must be about my Father's business" (Luke 2: 49). "Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered. And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him," wrote the writer of Hebrews (5: 8, 9)

Jesus was a good citizen and returned good for evil. Jesus taught and exemplified respectful submission to civil authorities (Matt. 17: 24-27, cf. Acts 5: 28, 29). He also taught others to obey and respect civil law (Matt. 17: 24-27).

Jesus loved the truth and unity. Some of the most severe denunciations uttered by Jesus were toward those who perverted scripture, the truth (John 8: 44-47). Jesus taught worship in truth and that the truth can liberate (John 4: 24, 8: 32). Jesus prayed for the unity of his followers (John 17: 20, 21). This unity was based on "their word," not hypocritical, ecumenical unity.

Conclusion. Jesus lived sinlessly, was the master teacher, and gave his life so others could have access to eternal life (Heb. 4: 15; Matt. 7: 28, 29; Heb. 2). He fulfilled the law of Moses (Rom. 10: 4). The inspired apostle Peter succinctly presented Jesus' biography, if you will, when he wrote that Jesus was "anointed... with the Holy Spirit..went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with Him" (Acts 10: 38).
