Bible Lessons on "The Work of the Church"

Introduction. This downloadable seven lesson series discusses the responsibilities God gave local congregations. It explores a number of false doctrines commonly associated with not only various Protestant denominations, but also among churches of Christ today. Are you part of either a denomination or a local church of Christ that is doing things that are unscriptural and unauthorized? What does it mean when people say the work of the local church is constrained to evangelism (saving the lost), edification (building up the saved), and limited benevolence to needy Christians?
